Ideal Home

Sandy would thrive in a home with at least one other dog, as canine companionship helps build her confidence. She needs a patient family who can give her time to adjust and a securely fenced yard for safe exploration. Due to her skittishness with sudden movements, she would do best in a home with older, respectful children who can give her the space she needs to feel secure.

Ongoing Health

Sandy is fully vetted, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also had a heartworm test.

Training & Support

Sandy is fully crate trained and 100% potty trained, with no accidents in foster care. She walks beautifully on a leash, remaining non-reactive to common distractions, and enjoys short car rides. While not highly food-motivated, she can’t resist Colby Jack cheese, which is great for administering medication. She rarely barks and enjoys affection on her own terms, preferring chin scratches, head rubs, and chest massages.
