Meet BeCo Glen Cairn Terriers. We are Janie and Robert Woodruff from Colorado and breed Cairn Terriers! We have been in love with this fun-loving and often hilarious little breed for years and can't wait to share one of them with you. If you’re looking for a dog that’s as much a part of your family as a loyal friend, the Cairn Terrier is a breed built for adventure, loyalty, and a lifetime of shared joy. At BeCo Glen, we’re not just breeding Cairn Terriers — we’re preserving a breed with over 200 years of Highland heritage. Originating in the rugged Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye, these fearless little terriers were bred to hunt and dispatch vermin like foxes, badgers, and otters in harsh, rocky terrain. Warning! They LOVE to dig and chew and have an incredibly strong prey drive! They are courageous, loyal, protective, highly intelligent and playful. Standing 9.5–11 inches tall and weighing 13–18 pounds, they’re sturdy in a small package, with a coat that changes color over time. The AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual. Our dam and sire come from a 20+ year Cairn breeder in Nebraska and we are happy to provide her information as a reference if requested. Our Adoption and Safety Policy: To ensure our puppies go to safe, loving homes and to protect against online fraud, we strictly adhere to the following transaction policies: 1. In-person Pickups ONLY: We love meeting our puppy families! All puppies must be picked up in person here in Colorado. We do NOT accept third-party couriers or movers. 2. Secure Payment: We accept cash or secure digital payments (i.e. Venmo, Zelle) at the time of pick-up. We do not accept cashier's checks, money orders, or personal checks under any circumstances. 3. Identity Verification: Before finalizing an adoption, we require a brief live phone call or video chat (FaceTime/Zoom) to meet you, introduce you to the puppy, and answer any questions you have.
