Ernie

Ernie is a 8-year-old, 63lb, neutered male Pittie/Cattle Dog mix who is as handsome as he is goofy! Found as a stray, Ernie was clearly loved before and despite being microchipped, his previous owner did not want him back. He's a true gem, house-trained, and walks great on a leash. Ernie is a social butterfly who loves being wherever his people are and is eager to join his new pack.

Ideal Home

Ernie would thrive in any home. He's great with dogs of all sizes and is gentle enough to enjoy a home with children, provided they are aware he's a bigger dog. He's also fine with cats that don't mind his friendly curiosity.

Ongoing Health

Ernie is HW- and is up to date on his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Ernie does not enjoy crates and will try to escape. He is not destructive when left unsupervised, but may whine or howl for a few minutes when crated if he knows you are home, though he calms with a treat or verbal commands.

Transportation

Ernie is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX. He can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is found. Transports run every few weeks. If you can only adopt during a specific time period, please apply then.
