Rocky Road

Rocky, a 2-year-old, 60-pound champion, is ready to be your loyal companion! He arrived at Rescue One as a young pup when his previous family could no longer care for him due to medical reasons. Rocky is a smart and eager learner, especially when treats are involved, and he even enjoys bath time, proudly sporting a robe afterward like a true boxer! He's housetrained, crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Rocky would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and a family who can provide him with plenty of love, time, and attention. He’s looking for a patient owner who will continue his mind-stimulating training. Due to his tendency to chase cats, he needs a home without them. He might also be too much for very young children.

Ongoing Health

Rocky is up-to-date on vaccinations, has been wellness examined, tested for heartworm, and microchipped. His adoption fee includes his spay/neuter.

Training & Support

Rocky is house and crate trained. He has a strong instinct to chase cats and will need continued training and supervision in this area. His intelligence makes him a quick study for new commands and tricks, especially with positive reinforcement.

Transporation

Rocky is located in Springfield, MO. Adopters are responsible for traveling to Springfield to pick up their new pet. If the adoption does not work out, the adopter is responsible for returning the pet to Springfield.
