Lefou

Meet Lefou! This 6-month-old shepherd mix is about 42 lbs and offers the best of both worlds. He's got a playful, energetic side, especially when playing with his dog pals, but he also knows how to chill and enjoy his own space. He's affectionate and loves to snuggle up for some love before happily settling into his own bed or favorite chair nearby.

Ideal Home

Lefou would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion his size or larger, as he absolutely loves other dogs. He enjoys wrestling, chasing, and playing games with his furry friends, which helps him feel confident and fulfilled. He also does well with both kids and adults but can be shy when meeting new people, so a family willing to go at his pace and build trust with treats and affection is ideal.

Training & Support

This smart, food-motivated boy has training down to a science! He already knows sit, stay, and lay down and is eager to learn more. Puzzle toys and enrichment activities are his jam! Fair warning: Lefou is clever and will try to find hidden treats, so keep them secured. He's fully potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night quietly. Lefou is currently working on leash training, as leashes can be a bit scary for him. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he'll become a great walking or hiking companion. Continuing his socialization will also help him gain confidence with new people.
