Knox is a sweet and very good-natured 9-month-old, 42 lb retriever mix who is eager to please and incredibly smart! He's a calm and gentle pup, a little on the timid side, but incredibly welcoming. Knox was rescued with his mom and siblings, and he's the last of his litter still waiting for his forever family. He enjoys playtime with toys and treats and gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs. He would likely do best in a home with a friendly dog to help him learn the ropes. While Knox spends most of his time outdoors with his mom and another dog, he's a quick learner and will adapt to indoor living with a little extra time and patience. Black dogs like Knox can sometimes be overlooked, but don't let this wonderful, calm, and good-natured pup pass you by!

A home with a friendly, resident dog to serve as a mentor would be ideal for Knox. He would also benefit from a family that can provide him with some extra time and patience as he adjusts to indoor living.
