Meet Red! This handsome Great Pyrenees mix is currently in boarding and dreaming of a loving foster or forever home. Red grew up on a farm, but it turns out farm life wasn't his calling. He's a bit of an escape artist who didn't quite get along with the livestock. However, he absolutely adores people and was great with the grandkids, happily following them around. This tells us Red would much rather be a cherished family dog than a livestock guardian. He's leash-trained, knows "sit," and is an eager-to-please boy, so we think he'll pick up new training quickly! Red has a medium energy level and will need a secure yard with a 6-foot fence to keep him safe, as he's proven he can be quite the Houdini. He gets along well with other dogs but would also be content as the sole canine companion. Red is friendly and good with new people of all ages. His favorite things include treats (which he takes ever so gently!) and chewing on sticks. What truly makes Red special is his sweet nature and his boundless affection.
