Padme - URGENT

Padme is a lovely 2-year-old Border Collie/Mastiff mix who desperately needs a loving home. She is currently at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter and has been there since June 12, 2026. Padme is facing an urgent situation as she has an upper respiratory infection and is at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding at the shelter. She is a sweet girl who deserves a second chance at happiness.

Ideal Home

Padme needs a home where she can receive the care and attention she deserves. As she is at risk due to a health condition, a quiet and comfortable environment would be ideal for her recovery.

Ongoing Health

Padme is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection. We are working to ensure she receives the best care possible.

Training & Support

Padme is not house-trained, so her new family will need to be patient and consistent with her training.

Transportation

Padme is currently at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter. Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) can arrange transportation if you are on the West Coast, with adopters responsible for any transport fees.
