Harris is a spirited Jack Russell Terrier mix, estimated to be born in March 2024, who was initially found as a stray and believed to be feral. However, this sweet girl is far from it! She's a high-energy pup who absolutely adores her foster mom and is eager to meet new adult humans. While her past is a mystery, she's shown an unfortunate distrust of children, which is something to be aware of. Harris has a fascinating personality: she puts on a brave front while in her crate but quickly melts for attention and pets once you approach. This approximately 10-pound dynamo lives harmoniously with other dogs and is a quick learner, especially when motivated by treats.
Ideal Home
Harris would thrive in a home with adults where she can receive plenty of attention and exercise. Due to her unknown distrust of children, a home without them would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Harris's adoption fee covers all necessary vetting, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchipping, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, and any other medical care required while in rescue.
Training & Support
Harris is crate-trained and walks fairly well on a leash. She is treat-motivated and learns quickly, which will be a great asset as you continue to build her confidence.
