Meet Norman!

Norman is a snuggly, four-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever/American Pitbull Terrier mix. He weighs 73 pounds and has a heart as big as his frame, with charming, tortilla chip-shaped ears. Norman is a gentle and goofy soul who loves cuddles, comfy dog beds, and spending quality time with his people. He's a classic couch potato with a silly streak, often flopping onto his back to flash a goofy grin. Walks, training games, and belly rubs are his favorite activities, and he thrives with love and structure. He's happy with a flexible routine as long as he has someone to nap near and a little mental stimulation each day. Norman is crate trained, house-trained, and knows several commands, including "sit," "stay," "down," and "place." He's currently mastering "leave it" and responds well to positive reinforcement and consistency.

Ideal Home

Norman does best in a calm, structured environment with a secure, fenced yard. He needs a home without small children. He is compatible with older, respectful kids and some dogs with slow introductions.

Ongoing Health

Norman is up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped.

Training & Support

Norman is crate trained, house-trained, and knows several commands. He's currently mastering "leave it." His adoption includes four professional training sessions and a full month of behavioral guidance from a consultant to help with his transition. He needs continued obedience training and positive reinforcement to stay confident and successful on walks. Norman is selective with dogs and new people and has shown reactivity in certain situations. While he's never displayed people-reactivity inside the home, he needs careful introductions and continued guidance outside.
