Iryss

Iryss is a sweet, senior girl who previously belonged to a wonderful couple. Sadly, due to difficult circumstances, they had to move in with family who did not like dogs. Iryss was not mistreated, but she sensed she was not liked or wanted, leading to her being placed outside and ultimately surrendered. The couple was unable to find a suitable home for her themselves and reached out to us. Iryss has been staying in boarding with a short foster stay during the holidays.

Ideal Home

Iryss is a loving girl, though she can be slow to warm up to new people. She would thrive in a quiet, calm household with patient individuals. She may bond initially to one person, likely a female, but with consistent positive interactions and participation in routines like feeding, she will happily become a buddy to the male in the household. She previously lived with smaller dogs but prefers companions who are not overly boisterous. Iryss would do best as the only pet in the home and in a home without children. A securely fenced yard is a must, as she loves to run and play!

Ongoing Health

Iryss is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Iryss can be silly, playful, and affectionate once she feels comfortable and loved. Consistent positive reinforcement and a patient approach will help her continue to blossom in her new home.
