Scallywag Sam C613

Scallywag Sam is a 4-month-old male Chihuahua mix who is incredibly loving and smart! He arrived with worms and a skin infection, but thanks to prompt vet care, he's on the road to a happy, healthy life. Sam adores other small dogs and loves to play with them. He can be a bit shy around new people and may hide initially, but he's making progress and is never mean. He might bark a little when nervous, but he calms down quickly.

Sam is a super smart pup who is learning to use pee pads and is getting accustomed to wearing a belly band as he continues his house training. He's also getting more comfortable with leash walks and is doing much better, though he sometimes freezes when nervous. He knows his name, the command "no," and comes when called. Sam is a special little guy who loves to snuggle and play. He's socially aware and knows when it's time to wind down; he happily goes into his crate, which he uses as his bedroom, even though it's never locked. He intuitively knows when to play and when to cuddle.

Ideal Home

Sam would do best in a home where he can continue to build his confidence. He enjoys the company of other small dogs.

Sam has fully recovered from a past worm and skin infection, as confirmed by veterinarians.

Training & Support

Sam is making great progress with house training and leash walking. He knows basic commands like "no" and recall. Continued positive reinforcement and patience will help him continue to thrive.
