Alba

Alba is a delightful and loving Labrador Creole mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing around 30 lbs. She was rescued in March 2024, found in a field with her littermates. Alba is intelligent, obedient, and wonderfully playful. She’s a social butterfly with people of all ages and other animals, enjoying walks, runs, and plenty of affection. While she might be a little shy initially when meeting new people, she quickly melts into your arms once she feels loved. Alba is also described as docile, loyal, joyful, and funny, making her a truly special companion. She's already crate and leash trained.

Ideal Home

Alba would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and an active lifestyle, enjoying outdoor activities. Families should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals, understanding their journey and offering protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, is highly valued. Please note, Alba is NOT house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Alba has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed/neutered, receiving 2 DHPPI vaccines, a Rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and microchipping. She has also tested negative for 4DX and heartworm, with certificates provided. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are included.

Training & Support

Alba is not currently house-trained, which is common for rescue dogs. Potential adopters should be prepared to provide consistent training and patience in this area.

Transporation

Alba is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available and costs $400.00, to be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
