Hi there, I'm Nadine, a sweet and teeny-tiny (8lbs) little chihuahua girl who's looking for a forever home. I'm dreaming of an adopter who will give me all of the companionship, bedtime snuggles, and attention that I deserve! I was rescued from a high-kill shelter after being dumped and hit by a car. Once my story was heard, I was saved! Since being taken in, I've undergone a major surgery to repair my broken pelvis and knees, and I've recovered beautifully! I'm so happy to get to run again (sometimes I even like to break into a sprint!!). Now, I've been learning what it's like to be loved for the first time. I'm a total doll who bonds deeply with the people close to me, and I also like to enjoy my independence, too! Sometimes, I can even be pretty cat-like; spending my time on my own terms, but then always coming back to you for love and attention when I'm in the mood! I don't particularly adore other animals, so I'll do best in a home where I can be the apple of my adopter's eye. I'm still adjusting to this new life that I've fallen into-- one where people actually love me and take care of me-- so I can get anxious at times, because I'm so scared of being left behind.
