A little about them
Meet Griffin, a big, goofy Bullmastiff with a playful spirit, a soft side, and a huge personality. He is curious, food-motivated, eager to learn, and wonderfully expressive. Once trust develops, Griffin enjoys affectionate body leans, face rubs, belly rubs, fetch, tug, and enthusiastic greetings.
Ideal Home
Griffin needs a patient, observant, teachable caregiver committed to positive training, predictable routines, thoughtful introductions, and respecting his boundaries while trust develops. An adult-only home is preferred, though older, dog-savvy children may be considered. An apartment or condo may be suitable with enough physical distance, a quiet resting area, and careful management of entrances and visitors. A detached house, acreage, or fenced yard is not required.
Griffin has a documented bite history. His history and management needs will be discussed candidly with serious applicants before placement. He can be anxious in new situations and needs a caregiver willing to follow his plan.
Ongoing Health
Griffin is comfortably basket-muzzle trained as a safety and confidence-building skill. His caregiver will receive guidance on when and how to use it.
Two professional behavioural assessments described Griffin as sweet, friendly, socially appropriate, responsive, and trainable, while emphasizing predictable routines, clear communication, and thoughtful introductions.
Training & Support
Griffin enjoys learning with positive reinforcement and knows sit, down, touch, and off while building a solid recall. He enjoys walks, play, sniffing, and peaceful downtime. He has played appropriately with male and female dogs of different sizes, adapts his play style, and responds well to canine corrections.
His regular caregivers will provide onboarding, shared walks, and a written transition plan.
