Fern is making her second appearance to our site as she was just too much energy for her first adopter, so she's hoping for another chance at a happy ending! Fern came to us by way of a Haunted Woods venue last Halloween, where she was found with three out of her four legs broken. The person who found her took her to a local ER, who then called us to take her in. Thankfully, we have an incredible partnership with MedVet Columbus and were able to get Fern the surgeries she needed to make her whole again! You would never guess when you watch this happy girl bounce and play bow in front of you that she once could not use three of her four legs. Fern is an active and strong girl who finds entertainment in anything she does – chasing snowballs, jumping in leaf piles, pouncing in puddles, or unplanting flower pots! She also has a snuggle bug side and loves to curl up on a recliner with or without you. Fern plays rough with other dogs and cats but is accustomed to coexisting with them in her foster home. Fern is a true mix – possibly with some Boxer, Husky, and Beagle components to her genetics. She is 2 years old, 40lbs, and spayed.
Ideal Home
Fern is an active and strong girl who would thrive in a home that can keep up with her energy. While she is accustomed to coexisting with other dogs and cats, she does play rough.
Ongoing Health
Fern had all the necessary surgeries to fix three broken legs and is now whole again. Any vaccinations or boosters due after adoption is finalized will be the new owner's responsibility. All animals are current at the time of adoption, but in some cases, a booster series is required, or a vaccine cannot be given due to age and cannot be completed prior to adoption.
Training & Support
Fern is an energetic girl who loves to play. She enjoys chasing snowballs, jumping in leaf piles, and pouncing in puddles. She also loves to snuggle and curl up on a recliner.

Transportation
Fern is currently in our foster care program. We are able to transport her to adopters within a 2-hour radius of our Columbus, OH location.
