Meet Calvin! He's a fun-loving boy who's always ready for a good time, whether that's chasing toys around the yard or heading out for a walk with his favorite people. Calvin has plenty of energy, but he's also surprisingly polite. He might greet you with a few excited hops, but he's more interested in being your friend than bowling you over. Calvin makes every outing more enjoyable. He walks nicely on leash, checks in with his person, and is happy to stop for some affection before dashing off for another round of play. He's smart too! He knows "sit," listens well, and takes treats gently. One of the best things about Calvin is how people-focused he is. He loves being part of whatever you're doing and has an infectious enthusiasm that makes it impossible not to smile. If you're looking for a dog who's equal parts goofy, affectionate, and well-mannered, Calvin is ready to be your new best friend. Calvin is around 2 years old and weighs 49 lbs.

Ongoing Health
Calvin has received his DAPPL, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccines. You may be required to get follow-up boosters. He is microchipped and comes with a Cuyahoga County license. He will need to visit your personal vet within two weeks of leaving the kennel.
Training & Support
Calvin knows "sit" and listens well. Most of our dogs are picked up as strays, so we don't know their history in a home environment. We cannot make guarantees regarding behavior or health once a dog is in your care. If you have children or other dogs, they are required to be present for a meet-and-greet.

- You must schedule a meet with a dog in advance; we are not currently accepting walk-ins.
- Please look online first to see if there are any dogs you think would be a good fit for your home before scheduling a meet.
- To get the process started, visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog and fill out the form. One of our adoption counselors will get in touch to schedule and confirm your meet!
- At the kennel, an adoption counselor will introduce you and your family to the adoptable dogs, share information we know about them, and discuss our suggested ways for successfully integrating a new dog into your home.
- You are welcome to meet multiple dogs.
- If the dog you adopt is already fixed, they may leave with you that day; otherwise, the dog can go home after receiving the spay or neuter surgery.
- The adoption fee is $61 and includes spay/neuter, shots, microchip, and license.
