Stone

Stone is a gentle giant, a lovable goofball estimated to be around 8 years old and weighing 85lbs. He’s a mix that looks like a Great Dane and American Bulldog, with a heart full of love to give once he feels secure. Stone has had a rough start in life, being passed between families and ending up at a shelter facing euthanasia. Thankfully, he was rescued and is now looking for his forever home. He's a playful boy who adores his toys, though he's still learning the fine art of fetch. Because of his past, Stone can be a bit shy and hesitant with new people, and his size and boisterous energy can be intimidating at first. But with time and patience, his true, sweet, silly, and fun-loving personality shines through.

Ideal Home

Stone needs a strong, experienced owner who understands his past and is committed to helping him build trust and confidence. A securely fenced yard with a 6-foot privacy fence is a must for his safety and comfort. Due to his size and energy, Stone is not recommended for a home with children.

Ongoing Health

Stone is current on all vaccinations, micro-chipped, and on heartworm prevention. He has been neutered and is fed a high-quality, grain-free diet.

Training & Support

Stone hasn't had much consistent guidance in his life, so he sometimes forgets his own size and strength, which can lead to jumping. He is also reactive on leash in public and can be untrusting of strangers. He would greatly benefit from dedicated obedience training and consistent leadership to help him understand acceptable behaviors and build his confidence.
