Rocky

Rocky is a handsome 4-year-old male Cane Corso mix who came to us in August 2022 with his brother, Toby. These two were found running loose in a neighborhood, which meant they lacked formal training and socialization opportunities during their formative months. Rocky weighs around 70lbs and is housed in the sanctuary part of Camp, which offers him a private room with a bed, TV, radio, and access to his own outdoor pen. He loves his walks, is strong on the leash, knows basic commands, and is a sweet boy with our staff. Rocky enjoys car rides and lounging in the sun, often "chatting" with his brother Toby in the adjacent pen.

Ideal Home

Rocky would thrive in a quiet, low-activity household. Due to his protective Cane Corso nature and potential for strong reactions, he needs an experienced owner who understands the breed. Rocky requires multiple meetings to feel comfortable with new people, and he cannot be placed in a home with children under 18 years old.

Ongoing Health

Rocky is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Rocky is working on building his confidence and comfort level with new people. He will need continued positive reinforcement and patience to help him settle into his new home. His leash manners are good, but he is strong, so consistent walking practice is beneficial.
