I don't need to be the loudest dog in the room to steal your heart. I just quietly show up, lean against your leg, and before you know it, were best friends.
My name is Lexi, and I'm a four-year-old lady who is house-trained and polite enough to let you know when I need to go outside. I know all the important things too: sit, stay, lay down, and go to bed. I even have this adorable habit of walking between your legs because being close to my people just feels right.
If you hand me my Kong ball or any toy, though, all that maturity disappears. Suddenly I'm bouncing around like a puppy who just discovered fun for the very first time. It's impossible not to smile! Walks are one of my favorite parts of the day. I have wonderful leash manners, and I'm perfectly happy taking a slow stroll while soaking up the world around me. No dragging, no chaos, just good company.
I'm good with other dogs and have a soft, gentle way about me with everyone I meet. Big kids are my buddies, and I do best when little ones are calm and gentle with me too. Loud, fast little feet aren't really my style, but quiet cuddles absolutely are. I'm learning about cats slowly and politely, one step at a time.
My foster says I'm the perfect dog. I don't know if perfect is possible, but I do know how to love with my whole heart. I'll happily nap while you work, walk beside you without a fuss, celebrate every toy like it's the greatest gift ever invented, and save my very best cuddles just for you. Life doesn't always have to be exciting. Sometimes the sweetest days are the quiet ones, and I happen to be really good at those.
