Walter

Walter is a 6-year-old terrier mix with a heart as big as his ears and a spirit that's ready for his forever adventure! He came to us as a stray, a little unsure of the world, but with a little love and patience, his true sweet, funny, and spirited personality has blossomed. Walter spent time in a foster home where he learned to trust again and discovered the joy of routine and gentle guidance. He's a smart boy who thrives on consistency and calm energy, and he's eager to find a home where he can continue to grow and shine.

Ideal Home

Walter is looking for adopters who understand he's a dog who needs respectful boundaries while he continues to build his confidence. He'll need a home that can offer a calm, consistent, and confident environment. A steady canine companion would be a plus, but they should be calm and confident, as anxious or reactive dogs can make Walter uneasy.

Ongoing Health

Walter came to us with some medical issues that have since been addressed. He is now feeling much better and ready to find his forever family.

Training & Support

Walter is house-trained and crate-trained. He actually loves his crate and sees it as his personal safe space! He's still working on his training and will benefit from continuing his program for at least another month in his new home. Structured, daily walks are essential for his well-being and help him feel centered and ready to take on the world.
