Frankie is a sweet, approximately 10-year-old Chihuahua mix who weighs about 5 pounds. He was found as a stray and, due to his shy nature, found a loving foster home where he could decompress. Frankie is terrified of loud noises and sudden movements, and while he loves to snuggle once he feels safe, he can be easily startled. He enjoys his time in his crate for breaks and uses a ramp to access the couch. Frankie gets along with other small dogs and requires a securely fenced backyard as he is not comfortable with leash walks. He has a few endearing quirks, such as spinning when he's excited or to ensure his people are still nearby.

Ideal Home

A calm and quiet home where he can feel secure is ideal. A securely fenced backyard is a must, as he is not comfortable with walks.

Ongoing Health

Frankie has some unknown health issues affecting his heart, liver, and kidneys. He is receiving ongoing veterinary care and will remain in permanent foster care with the rescue.

Training & Support

Frankie is still learning to navigate the world and may spin in circles out of anxiety or excitement. He is not yet able to sit on command but will "ask" for his food. His foster family is working to minimize his anxiety and ensure he feels safe and loved.
