Char

Char is a dream companion for an active, engaged adopter who loves training, enrichment, and a dog with personality to spare. He is incredibly intelligent, athletic, and eager to learn, and he truly shines when he's using his brain. He knows basic cues like sit, wait, spin and is working on expanding his skills with additional commands. He is super loving and loves getting attention from his humans. He has a lot of love to give, but sometimes he gets a little pushy with over-excitement. He is still learning how to show his love for others in more respectful ways. Like many adult rescue dogs, he may need a brief refresher on house training as he adjusts to a new home. He does best with a consistent routine and regular potty breaks. Char sleeps in his own space at night and relaxes there when left alone. He's confident, independent, and settles well after exercise and playtime.

Ideal Home

Char would do best with an experienced adopter who understands appropriate dog introductions and can thoughtfully manage interactions with unfamiliar dogs. He is best suited for a home that values structure, enrichment, and clear communication.
