Meet Nola, a stunning Bluetick Coonhound with a story of strength and resilience. For nearly a month, Nola bravely navigated the beaches of Bucerias, surviving on the kindness of strangers. As her strength waned, our dedicated volunteers tirelessly searched until they found her resting on the sand. She arrived underweight, anemic, and battling Ehrlichia, and was later diagnosed with TVT, a treatable cancer. After a course of antibiotics, vaccines, and chemotherapy, this brave girl has fully recovered and is now healthy, healed, and eager to find her loving forever home. Nola is a sweet, resilient soul who is incredibly grateful for affection and has a typical Coonhound voice, so be prepared for some baying and howling! She's also great on the leash and truly enjoys her walks. Nola survived because people cared, and now she deserves a family who will cherish her for the incredible dog she is.
