Mona

Meet Mona! This gorgeous 2-year-old Mountain Cur mix is a sweet, smart, and active girl who gets along with other dogs. Mona was surrendered with some other dogs through no fault of her own due to her owner falling on hard times. Now, she's settling into her new life and learning to be a real dog. She's an energetic goofball who is obsessed with stuffed toys! Volunteers have described her as wonderful, independent in a good way (she wants some loving but also likes her own time), good on leash, and eager to sniff everything. She did well sitting at a restaurant with volunteers, and while she had a few moments of wanting to greet people and other dogs, she did a good job listening when asked to come back and lay. We promised Mona that the rest of her life would be the best of her life. Could that be with you?

Ideal Home

Mona is an active girl who enjoys sniffing everything and can be eager to greet people and other dogs. She is independent but also enjoys affection.

Ongoing Health

Mona is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Mona is learning to be a real dog and is working on her greetings. She does listen well when asked to come back and lay.

Transportation

Mona is located in South Carolina. We transport to the Northeast weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet. We provide local or virtual meet-and-greets with an application on file.
