Hiromi is a 4-year-old, approximately 36 lb female Belgian Malinois mix who was found wandering the streets of Matamoros, Mexico. Despite a difficult start, she has blossomed into a happy and healthy girl with a sweet spirit. Hiromi is active, playful, and social with adults, and while she can be a bit shy with new people at first, her affectionate nature quickly shines through once she feels comfortable and secure. She is crate and leash trained and eager to learn, thriving with regular exercise and mental stimulation. Hiromi is ready for her happy ending in a loving, forever home.
Ideal Home
- A home with a fenced backyard is required.
- An active family that enjoys outdoor activities.
- A family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog and an open mind about the needs and behaviors of street animals.
- Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer.
- High tolerance and patience for rescued dogs are essential.

Training & Support
Hiromi is not house-trained. Rescued pets often require an adjustment period, and patience and understanding are crucial as they adapt to a new environment.

Transportation
Hiromi is currently fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip if adopted. Transportation is available door-to-door for a fee of $400 USD. Trips are scheduled 3-4 times per year, and the transport company provides regular updates throughout the journey.
