Mackey is a handsome 4-year-old Bulldog mix who weighs about 40 lbs. He has a big personality and an even bigger heart, but it takes him a little time to warm up to new people. Once Mackey trusts you, he's all in – loving, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. He enjoys being close to his person and will happily soak up all the attention once that special bond is built. Mackey has been with us for a while and has made wonderful progress!
Ideal Home
Mackey would thrive in a home where he can build a close, one-on-one bond with his person. He gets jealous easily, so a home without a lot of competing attention would be ideal. He enjoys being part of your world, whether that's relaxing in his favorite spot or spending time outdoors, rain or shine. He also loves car rides!
Ongoing Health
Mackey has allergies, including seasonal ones, so he does best on a special diet. A raw diet is ideal, but he's currently doing well on kibble. He's not a big fan of vet visits, so he'll need a patient and understanding approach to his healthcare. Mackey has been neutered, microchipped, and is up-to-date on his vaccinations.
Training & Support
Mackey is fully crate trained and very clean in the house. He enjoys playing with other dogs his size or larger and prefers companions who aren't too bossy. On walks, Mackey can pull, so he'll need someone committed to continuing leash training. He's also not a fan of loud noises like vacuums or brooms, so giving him space during those times will make him happiest. It's important to read Mackey's cues and advocate for him, as he can sometimes be wary of new people.

Transporation
Mackey is located in Bancroft. We do not ship our dogs.
