RYE GS

Rye is a beautiful 16-month-old girl who was rescued from a high-kill shelter, having narrowly escaped euthanasia. When she first arrived in foster care, she was understandably fearful and guarded, wary of people and expecting the worst. Thankfully, she found solace and a sense of security in the company of other dogs. Through their gentle guidance, Rye is slowly learning that people can be kind and trustworthy. She's still a shy and sensitive soul who needs time and patience to build confidence. She won't be the first to greet you with enthusiastic jumps, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she forms a deep, quiet, and incredibly loyal bond. Rye is looking for a patient adopter who will understand her need for space and allow her to approach them on her own terms.

Ideal Home

A home with another friendly, well-adjusted dog would be ideal for Rye, as she thrives with canine companionship. She can also do well with children who understand the importance of giving her space and respecting her pace.

Training & Support

Rye is still learning to trust and needs a patient adopter who can help her build confidence. Her foster family has observed that she is a nervous girl and requires time to warm up to new people.
