Luther is a sweet, silly, high-energy 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix who's ready to bring endless smiles and snuggles into your life! Weighing in at 55 pounds, he has bouncy, floppy ears and a playful spirit. Luther loves a good chase and interacts well with other dogs, often initiating play with respectful gestures. He's already shown gentle behavior around children as young as 6 and has calmly ignored cats. He's house-trained and sleeps well in his crate, only needing a few minutes to settle. Luther doesn't show any resource guarding and is happy to eat or play with toys around other dogs. He enjoys playing fetch and tug-of-war, and while he thrives in an active home, he also knows how to relax once his exercise needs are met. He is affectionate, curious, smart, and loves his people, especially belly rubs. He can be a little shy with strangers at first but warms up quickly with gentle reassurance.
Ideal Home
Luther would thrive in an active home that can provide him with regular exercise and continued guidance. A backyard would be a bonus, but daily walks and playtime are just as important. He's adaptable and could do well in an apartment or house. While he doesn't require another dog, if he is the only dog in the home, we would want to discuss your plans for his socialization.

Training & Support
Luther can be a little barky when seeing other dogs on leash, but he walks beautifully alongside a canine companion, and this can improve with training. He is still learning confidence getting in and out of the car. He is not yet ready to be left loose in the house as he is still learning which items are toys.
