Red is a 1.5-year-old, 45lb hound mix boy who is bursting with energy and looking for an active family to join! He'd be a fantastic companion for someone seeking a single dog or a home with another playful canine sibling. Red absolutely loves long walks, exciting hikes, and frolicking in the yard with his foster dog sister. He's proven to be amazing with the young children in his foster home and is respectful of his older dog and cat housemates. Red can spend hours playing with his younger dog foster siblings, chasing and wrestling, or entertaining himself with toys and balls. His keen sense of smell is a hallmark of his hound heritage, which can sometimes lead to curious investigations like counter surfing, but it also makes him incredibly motivated on walks and hikes, ensuring he enjoys every outdoor adventure. Red has learned to give his feline foster sibling space after a few gentle reminders, showing what a smart boy he is!

Red would thrive in an active home. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is good with children. He has learned to coexist peacefully with cats.
