About Button Mushroom Best Boy
Button is approximately 9 months old and is ready to be your tiny shadow with floppy ears! He's a professional snuggler, a gentle kiss distributor, a squeaky toy enthusiast, and an emotional support sidekick who is convinced that every person on earth was specifically invented to love him. This little guy is the definition of soft-hearted sweetness wrapped up in a hilariously adorable puppy package. We suspect he may be a Pit Bull/Pointer mix, though with rescue dogs there's never any way to guarantee breed makeup. Whatever combination created Button, it somehow resulted in maximum charm packed into one tiny body. He's confident with people, incredibly affectionate, and settles into connection almost immediately. Button met men, women, children, and strangers with the same attitude: "Hi!!! Are you my best friend now?" He loves attention, happily seeks affection, and has that Velcro-dog quality where he naturally sticks close to his person without being demanding about it. And his ears! One spotted, one solid, both impossibly floppy. They bounce when he walks like they have their own tiny emotional support system.
Ideal Home
Button could likely do well in a variety of homes, including apartments, as long as he gets continued socialization, structure, playtime, and love. He would likely appreciate canine friends who are kind, socially appropriate, and not overly pushy, as he has all the makings of a dog who could accidentally get bossed around while simply trying to mind his own adorable business. He also interacted very sweetly with children, approaching gently for kisses and snuggles. Because he's such a soft and submissive puppy, we think he would thrive with a confident, reassuring family that helps him continue building confidence as he grows.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned in the description.
Training & Support
Button approached loud environments, busy surroundings, new people, handling exercises, and leash work with calm acceptance and recovered immediately from anything mildly worrying. When unsure, he tends to "pancake" or freeze briefly rather than react with any aggression, and he was consistently easy to redirect and reassure. He showed excellent tolerance during handling and allowed touching of his paws, ears, face, and body without concern. He handled testing like a tiny gentleman. He never barked despite lots going on around him.
