Kim is a 1-year-old, 32 lb male Border Collie and Labrador mix who is as sweet and loving as he is funny and joyful! He has a lot of energy and is always ready for an adventure. Kim is a smart boy who is perfect for training and will surely bring out the best in him. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is also cat-friendly. Kim is already leash, crate, and car ride trained, making him a great travel companion.
Kim was found abandoned at our doorstep and, after a vet visit, it was discovered he had parvo. He underwent hospitalization and treatment and has since made a full recovery.
Ideal Home
Kim would thrive in an active home that enjoys outdoor activities. A fenced backyard is a must for him. Families with experience in dog behavior and training, as well as those with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, would be an excellent match. It's important to understand that rescued animals may have been traumatized and may need time to decompress and trust new people.
Ongoing Health
Kim has successfully recovered from parvo. His health protocol includes a Spay/Neuter Certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX Test and Certificate, a negative Heartworm test certificate, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. He also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
While Kim is already leash, crate, and car ride trained, it's important to note that he is not house-trained. Rescued pets often require time, patience, and education to overcome past traumas and learn new habits. Families should be prepared for an adjustment period and understand that housing training is not guaranteed with rescued animals.
