Meet bright and bubbly Brook! Brook is an active, fun-loving lady with a big heart, estimated to be around 2 years old and weighing 44 lbs. She loves spending time with people and having fun together. Currently in a foster home, Brook has been showing her people-oriented and affectionate side. With a little time to decompress from the kennel, she's shown how loving she can be. She loves climbing into bed and sleeping through the night, or joining you on the couch and resting her head on your lap. Brook is also curious, energetic, and eager to discover new things. She's a go-getter and is sure to help you get moving and explore on daily walks and/or runs. She likes the outdoors but only if someone is enjoying it with her, so you can enjoy the fresh air and sun together! She loves to go for runs or long walks through the park. She also has a passion for toys and enjoys having a collection of durable chew toys to work on and would have a blast in her own fenced-in yard. With other dogs in play group, Brook has been playful and is polite passing them on walks, with little reaction to dogs who bark at her. She might enjoy having another dog in her future home to help her learn the ropes and to be a play mate! Miss Brook has a lot of potential to be someone's active, fun-loving best buddy. She'd love to join you for adventures, play time, and then unwinding on the couch at the end of the day.
Ideal Home
Brook would do best in a home without small children for now, as she is still working on her excited, jumpy greetings and enjoys rough-housing when she is excited. She would also thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard.
Ongoing Health
All dogs receive their DAPPL, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccines, and come microchipped and with a Cuyahoga County license. Dogs adopted directly from the kennel need to go to your personal vet within two weeks of leaving the kennel.
Training & Support
Brook knows sit, paw, down, touch, stay, come, and leave it. She is housebroken and listens well to guidance in the home. She is still working on being comfortable in her crate but does settle down to sleep. She is also learning to manage her excited greetings and jumping.
