Meet Wolfie Wolfie is a 3-year-old Shepherd/Akita mix who came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed. Since arriving at the shelter, Wolfie has made incredible progress and has shown everyone just how rewarding patience and kindness can be. Staff have watched Wolfie come a long way during his stay. With time and positive interactions, he has made wonderful improvements in his behavior and continues to gain confidence every day. He now happily accepts pets and handling and gently takes treats from everyone, showing how much trust he has built with the people caring for him. Wolfie is looking for a family that understands the importance of continuing the positive progress he's made. A patient, consistent home will help him continue to thrive and become the loyal companion we know he can be. Because of his history and ongoing confidence-building, we recommend an adult-only home where he can continue to feel secure and successful without the unpredictability of young children. Wolfie has already proven that he's capable of incredible growth. Now all he needs is a family willing to give him the love, structure, and stability he deserves.
