Chance

Chance is a playful and loving 1.5-year-old, 75 lb Black Lab/American Bulldog mix. He's a medium-energy boy who is eager to learn and very food motivated. Chance enjoys his walks, playing fetch, and a good game of tug in the yard. He's house and crate trained, sleeping through the night in his crate and is comfortable being crated during the day while his people are at work. He has had some basic obedience training and walks well on a leash.

Ideal Home

Chance would thrive in a home without cats or other small animals, as he has a strong instinct to chase them. Due to his size and exuberance, and his tendency to guard items, we recommend a home without children 12 years and under. He has had limited experience with other dogs, but has been okay meeting larger dogs on leash; we don't recommend a home with a smaller dog.

Ongoing Health

Chance is neutered, microchipped, and up to date with all of his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Chance has demonstrated some guarding behavior with items like shoes, dish towels, and balls. This can be easily managed by trading him for a higher-value item, such as a food treat. He is a bit of a bull in a china shop, so gentle guidance will help him learn to navigate his environment.
