Luna (Grandma)

Luna, an adult female Pit Bull Terrier/Great Dane mix, is a charming older gal who proves that age is just a number. She came to us in very poor condition, almost as if she had already given up the will to live. With determination, great care from her foster parents, good nutrition, and kindness, she made a full recovery and has become quite the character! Her ideal day involves lounging on a comfy bean bag chair, happily chewing on her favorite Benebone treat.

Ideal Home

Luna gets along famously with everyone she meets—dogs, cats, and kids alike.

Ongoing Health

Luna is heartworm positive. We have given her all medications according to the heartworm treatment protocol, but decided, for the time being due to her age and body condition, against the Melarsomine injections. She is on monthly heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Luna is both potty and crate trained.
