Hi, I'm Barney! And yes, just like the big purple dinosaur, I am 100% powered by love, butt wiggling dances, and hugs. I'm a handsome, easygoing 6-year-old fellow, weighing in at a sturdy 60 pounds. I'm the kind of gentle giant who is happiest just being near my people. I'm super sweet, incredibly laid back, and way past all that wild puppy nonsense-so you won't find me bouncing off the walls. I'd much rather just hang out and settle into the good life with you.

My life changed recently when my previous family had to make a hard decision during a divorce, but I've kept my famously gentle, resilient spirit. What I want now is simple: a soft place to land, a person to love, and a home where I can be your steady, loyal companion.

I'm already an expert at being a good boy. I know my basic commands, I'm fully house-trained, and I have excellent manners around the house. I am also fantastic with other dogs (even in big group settings) and I didn't mind cats during my shelter testing either. I am truly the ultimate, drama-free roommate who can fit right into almost any family dynamic.
