Major ( Male)

Major is a 2-year-old pup with a big heart and a story that's shaped his gentle soul. He came from a difficult domestic situation and is now looking for the safety, stability, and love he truly deserves. At around 64 pounds, Major is a solid, medium-energy dog who enjoys exploring the world through his nose and taking in all the scents around him. Sniffing adventures are one of his favorite pastimes! Major is great with other dogs and tends to feel more confident when they're around. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all types, sizes, and ages - from playful puppies to mature adults. He loves canine companionship and has an impressive ability to read other dogs' body language, allowing him to adapt his play style and interactions appropriately. He absolutely adores women and forms strong bonds with them. He can be wary of men at first due to his past home life, but with patience, kindness, and time, he's able to warm up and build trust. Despite everything he's been through, Major is a total love bug who craves companionship, freedom, and the chance to just be a dog.

Ideal Home

Major would do best in a home with older children, or with dog-savvy kids who understand that some dogs need a little time and patience to feel comfortable in a new home. Households with children under 8 years of age must have a physical fence attached to the home or an electric/invisible fence. A fenced yard would be ideal for him to safely explore, decompress, and adjust at his own pace.

Ongoing Health

Greenmore Rescue performs the 4dx blood test on all adult dogs free of charge. This blood test checks for diseases such as Lyme and Heartworm Disease. If Major tests positive for any of these conditions, treatment will have already been started or completed. Your Adoption Counselor will review any findings with you and we will provide all medical records, along with any medication the dog may need at the time of adoption.

Major walks best with people he trusts, and that bond will come with consistency and care.
