River is a sweet mixed-breed dog with markings and body style reminiscent of a Dane and Boxer, though she is smaller than those breeds. She weighs around 40 pounds and is currently underweight, with an expected healthy weight of about 55–60 pounds. Found as a stray, River received a brief veterinary evaluation and a microchip check.

River is quiet, gentle, and a major tail wagger. She rides calmly in the car, has not jumped up on her caregiver, and has not damaged anything in the house. She is comfortable around cats and responds quickly to correction. River enjoys being inside, though she is currently staying outdoors.
