Cecil is an incredibly loving, resilient boy who's ready to find a home where he can truly thrive. He's fully potty and house-trained. While he has been kennel trained, he makes no messes and doesn't bother anything that isn't a dog toy if you leave him to roam while you are gone. Cecil has some adorable quirks-he loves gathering his toys, and you'll often find him proudly keeping track of his little collection!
Cecil is a happy, affectionate and calm dog who lives for human attention. He happily gives kisses and loves to be pet.
He's low energy. He does get playful - his favorite activities include fetch, chewing on toys, splashing in water, and running around with other dogs, but he is definitely a professional napper.
Cecil would do best in a home without cats. He tends to chase and bark at them, and while it doesn't appear aggressive, it's something that will require either a cat-free home or very consistent training and management.
He was found as a stray with a hip injury. He is recovering well from FHO surgery so that is why he still has a limp. This will go away as he gains confidence and comfortability putting weight on his leg!
The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
