Feline Approved: Buddha has successfully lived with a cat before and respects his feline roommates.

House Trained: No puppy accidents here-he's already got the routine down.

Because Buddha is a dense, muscular boy with lots of enthusiasm, he does best with kids 12 and older so his happy, wiggly greetings don't accidentally knock anyone over.

Ready to Adopt?

You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Dogs in foster care are available to meet by appointment.)

#2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you're ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you'd like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.

**Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events.
