Hi there! I'm Maiya, a sweet and gentle Boxer mix with an estimated birthday of March 13, 2024. I weigh about 48 lbs. For so long, I was a stray, wondering where my next meal would come from. Then, the wonderful people at Sunnyside Street Dogs found me and showed me what a life filled with kindness, soft beds, and love is like. I even became a mama to three adorable puppies, and now that they've all found their forever homes, I'm hoping it's finally my turn! Everyone says I'm one of the sweetest girls they've ever met, and I'm especially good with little ones. I had a lovely introduction to a one-year-old child, and we instantly bonded over our shared curiosity and gentleness – I even got a giggle with some happy ear kisses! I adore being around people, soaking up all the affection, and going for walks. My leash manners are excellent, so whether we're exploring the neighborhood or enjoying a park stroll, I'll be happily by your side. I'm not asking for anything extravagant, just a loving family, a cozy place to rest my head, and someone to remind me every day that my stray days are long behind me.

I am located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and may vary in pickup locations, including nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. Adopters can track their dog's transport using the Life360 app and will receive updates. Facebook chats are also available for tracking information.
