Bodie Boigue is a devoted, large, male, young dog with a big heart and an even bigger personality! He's a true "Velcro" dog who thrives on companionship and a calm, predictable routine. Bodie is intelligent and eager to please, but he does experience occasional seizures. He is on a strict medication schedule (Gabapentin, Sertraline, and Keppra) to help manage these episodes, which are infrequent. However, after a seizure, Bodie can become disoriented and experience anxiety. He needs a steady and calm handler who can provide reassurance and support during these times.
Ideal Home
Bodie needs a quiet, low-traffic home where he can maintain a stable neurological system. He requires a physically capable owner who understands that his occasional "unpredictability" is due to his medical condition, not behavior. He will thrive in an environment where his medical needs can be safely managed, and he can receive a "safe landing" during his episodes. He has had positive interactions with other dogs. Due to his medical needs, children under 8 are not a good fit.
