He’s a deeply affectionate little guy who bonds hard and fast with his person — the kind of dog who wants to be part of your day, your routine, and yes… even your bathroom trips. Bats can be skittish with strangers at first, but he warms up quickly with a little patience and kindness. Once he decides you’re his person, he is all in. He’s a lap dog, a shadow, and a loyal companion who simply wants to be near you as much as possible. He has even gone to work before and became fast friends with coworkers, charming everyone once he felt safe. Bats LOVES his toys — especially balls. He carries them around like comfort objects, rotating through his little collection. When he gets into one of his enthusiastic licking moods, giving him a ball to hold helps redirect that energy in the sweetest way. One of his absolute favorite things in the world is riding in the car. He’ll try to follow you out the door and hop in if he can, so adopters should be mindful during comings and goings.
