Rain

Rain is a beautiful Pyrenees mix, believed to be approximately 1-3 years old. She is a shy girl at first but blossoms with affection once she feels safe. Her adorable eyes will surely melt your heart! Rain weighs around 80 lbs and needs to gain a few more pounds to reach a healthy weight. She came to Colorado with her sister, Snow, both underweight. They are now thriving and gaining strength with their foster mom and are ready to be loved unconditionally! While Rain's history is unknown, it's clear she lacked socialization. With each day, she gains more confidence and dreams of a home where she can continue to learn and feel cherished.

Ideal Home

Rain would thrive in a home with a confident canine buddy who can show her the ropes, though this isn't strictly necessary if an adopter has plenty of love to share. She needs a home with a fenced yard as leash walking currently makes her nervous. She may do well with older, calm children.

Ongoing Health

Rain is underweight and is being monitored and provided with proper nutrition to reach a healthy weight.

Training & Support

Rain loves her kennel and feels secure in it. She's a food-motivated girl, making her receptive to building trust. Her foster mom is working with her on various aspects, including potty training, socialization, and kennel comfort. Leash walking is an area that requires significant patience and continued positive reinforcement. A minimum of one paid training session, focused on building confidence and addressing past trauma, is required to help Rain adjust and bond with her new family.
