Johnny Cash is a spirited three-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/Husky mix with a striking brindle coat and charming white accents. He embodies a thrilling blend of wild adventure and devoted affection. Cash is a powerhouse of energy and joy, perfect for someone who craves the open trail, a daily runners high, or long mountain hikes. With his strong, athletic build and endless stamina, he's happiest logging long-distance adventures with his human. He recently completed an impressive 712-mile hike through the valley, proving himself to be an incredible hiking companion. While he loves adventure, Cash also cherishes quiet time and is a cuddlebug who enjoys snuggling up close when the day is done. After a good walk or hike, Cash settles beautifully and is calm and relaxed in the house, but he's always ready for his next outing at a moment's notice!
Ideal Home
Johnny Cash would thrive in an active household with a guardian who understands and can confidently manage his high prey drive. He is gentle and affectionate with children and has done well with his guardians nephews, ages 10 and 13. He also gets along with some dogs and can match a more robust play style or a gentler vibe. However, Cash is not a match for households with cats or small animals due to his strong prey drive. He cannot be trusted off-leash under any circumstances and pulls toward squirrels and small dogs on walks, requiring him to remain securely leashed at all times outdoors.

Johnny Cash is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He eats a good-quality grain-free diet and is currently doing great with digestion.
Training & Support
Johnny Cash is obedience-trained and knows commands such as sit, down, heel, and go to place. He thrives on structure and routine and is content being alone for up to six hours. His guardian must be experienced and able to manage his strong prey drive.
