Meet Tucan - Playful, Smart & Ready for His Forever Home!
Tucan was found abandoned and alone, a sad sight for such a wonderful dog. Despite his rough start, Tucan is now healthy, joyful, and incredibly ready for a loving and committed adopter. He's a big, strong boy with a high play drive, making him the perfect companion for someone who loves to play, hike, walk, and share adventures. Tucan is also incredibly affectionate and looks to his person for guidance and leadership. He's done well in environments with many dogs of different sizes and breeds. What truly shines about Tucan is his eagerness to engage with people; he genuinely enjoys building a bond with his human and actively seeks out that connection. Once his energy is properly channeled, Tucan is happy to settle down beside you for affection and downtime.
Ideal Home
Tucan needs space to thrive and is best suited for acreage, a farm, or ranch life. He does not do well in small or enclosed spaces. Due to his size and energy, he is not recommended for homes with small or young children. He is also not recommended for first-time dog owners or those without prior training experience, unless they are strongly committed to learning.

Training & Support
Tucan is incredibly smart and thrives with structure and stimulation. He needs a handler who understands how to work with energetic dogs and can meet his physical and mental needs.

Transportation
Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We arrange for approved adopters to have their new dog travel with flight companions from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet your new pup at the airport. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border.
