About Canela
Canela is a bright, loving, and full-of-life young dog with the heart and spirit typical of an Australian Kelpie. Known for their intelligence, loyalty, and high energy, Kelpies are active companions who thrive with people who enjoy outdoor activities—and Canela is no exception. She walks well on a leash and is very social with dogs and people alike; strangers don’t make her nervous at all. In fact, she’s incredibly friendly and affectionate. Canela has a playful and funny personality—she’ll even jump up as if she were a tiny Chihuahua, hoping to be picked up and cuddled! Canela is energetic, curious, and always ready for fun. She would be an ideal companion for someone who enjoys walks, exercise, or an active lifestyle. Whether it’s exploring new places or simply spending time together, she brings joy and excitement wherever she goes. Like many young and intelligent dogs, Canela can get bored if she doesn’t have enough stimulation. She may chew on objects—especially plastic—so providing toys and guidance will help her thrive. She may also bark when she hears unfamiliar noises, as she is naturally alert and aware of her surroundings. Her story began on an autumn afternoon, when she was found alone playing in the street. No one in the neighborhood recognized her, and fearing for her safety, she was taken in to protect her from potential harm. Since then, she has shown nothing but love, resilience, and a wonderful spirit. Canela is ready to find a forever home where she can share her energy, affection, and loyal heart. With the right family, she will make an incredibly devoted and fun-loving companion.
