Meet Channel, an 8-month-old Caramelo Dog weighing 43.6 lbs, who is ready to find her loving forever home. Channel's early life was marked by tragedy; she was born on a property where corrosive cleaning products were manufactured. While security guards did their best to care for her and her four siblings, the puppies accidentally fell into an oil pit. Tragically, Channel was the sole survivor.
Rescued on January 4th, 2026, Channel has since received much-needed care and has begun to heal and learn what love feels like. She's a playful and affectionate girl who enjoys attention and gentle pets. Channel gets along well with cats and dogs, as well as men and women. Initially, she can be cautious around new people, but with patience and reassurance, her loving personality shines through. Channel can also feel nervous when left alone, so she would do best in a home that can offer her companionship and help her build confidence. Channel deserves a family that will provide her with the safety, stability, and unconditional love she has always deserved.
Ideal Home
Channel would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, possessing an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals and a willingness to provide protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly preferred, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. High tolerance and patience for a rescued puppy are essential.
Ongoing Health
Channel has received a spay/neuter certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. She is microchipped and has a negative 4DX test and heartworm test certificate. She is on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra) for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. All her health records and vaccination booklets are up to date.
Training & Support
Channel is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments and people. Patience and understanding are crucial for building trust and strengthening your bond with Channel. Providing a safe and loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries will help her feel secure.
