Taquito is an approximately 3-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing just under 10 pounds. He's a social butterfly who adores company, getting along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and people of all ages. While he might be a little shy initially, Taquito quickly blossoms into a loving, loyal, and playful companion who will shower you with affection. He thrives on cuddles, kisses, belly rubs, and loves being carried around and following his favorite humans everywhere. Taquito is a smart cookie, already leash-trained and doing great with crate training and potty breaks in the yard.
Taquito was found shivering and alone at a gas station, clearly struggling to find food. The moment he was scooped up, he found comfort and safety, finally able to rest and feel warm. Since then, he's shown his true colors as a funny, affectionate, and incredibly lovable little dog, full of personality and ready to find his forever family.
Ideal Home
Taquito would do best in a home without territorial male dogs. He's comfortable with female dogs and friendly companions.
Ongoing Health
Taquito has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for Heartworm and 4DX. He is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention with Nexgard Spectra and has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
While Taquito is making great progress with crate training and house-training, please understand that many rescued dogs require time and patience to adjust. He is not fully house-trained. For best results with this intelligent dog, a family with dog behavior and training experience, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly recommended. Patience and understanding are crucial for rescued pets as they adapt to a new environment and build trust.
